DOA Demo OG Shooting Benches are the proud veterans of our community outreach programs. These noble benches may have spent a whole 1–3 days being manhandled by such refined groups as 4H kids, FFA teenagers, NRA event crowds, industry marketing types, or random state/county/city social gatherings. They might (but not always, fingers crossed) sport a few light scratches, scuff marks, dents, or dings on both the tabletop and tripod from the gentle process of being set up, sat on, leaned on, and generally shot off of.

After each event we give every bench a thorough once-over for anything that might actually stop it from working. If something is not up to our standards, we fix it to function like new again and proudly slap the “Demo” label on it.

When you buy a DOA Demo OG Shooting Bench there are zero options. You get whatever the warehouse gods decide to hand you. Don’t throw a fit. Seriously. Because once you set it up, drag it around, and use it a couple of times yourself, it’ll look exactly like the slightly battle-scarred unit you’re getting… only you paid less for the privilege. What a steal.

DOA OG Shooting Bench Top

Our Original (OG) DOA Tabletop measures a no-nonsense 29″ wide by 43″ long and comes with your choice of a left- or right-handed cut-out for the chest/body. The shape is designed to push you into a formal, competitive, tactical shooting position—because apparently sprawling like a starfish wasn’t getting the job done. It handles everything from a polite .22LR to a full-send .50BMG without complaint.

Over the years we tried a few different shapes, then wisely settled on this one. The Standard DOA LH/RH Tabletop now serves Experts, Military, LEO, Hunters, Target Shooters, and Enthusiasts—basically anyone who wants better comfort, tighter groups, and the ability to repeat the same shot without inventing a new position every time.

The tops are built from 1.5 inch maple or birch plywood, whichever the market feels like giving us that week. Weight lands somewhere between 32 and 38 pounds depending on how dense that particular tree decided to be. And yes, each one is unique in grain and texture—just like every other piece of wood on the planet.

Two finishes are available for the bench top: natural wood or our custom camo netting. We happen to like the natural wood around here, but a certain percentage of customers look at unfinished grain and decide we must have run out of paint mid-job. The camo option exists for them. Functionally the only difference is a layer of paint on the camo version. Both receive a weather-resistant coating afterward — and we mean resistant, not weather-proof. We’re not in the business of overselling what a coating can actually do.

Shooting Bench Tripod

The Tripod is built from high-grade industrial steel for a reason: the lighter stuff tends to flex under recoil and send your point of impact wandering off like it has somewhere better to be. Ours shrugs off 500 pounds or more, so a 400-pound shooter plus gear is basically a warm-up set. At about 35 pounds it’s not going to win any ultralight awards, but neither is the rifle you’re mounting on it. Every steel piece gets a full powder-coat finish so it can handle the end of the world—or at least a few hard seasons in the dirt. Fully extended it stands 37 inches; folded it drops to 32 inches and packs down into a compact enough bundle that you can almost pretend a 35-pound steel tripod is convenient to move.

From the very beginning we *brilliantly* chose the three-legged design for leveling purposes—because who needs four legs when three will do the same job with 25% less steel and 100% more “look how clever we are.” Our DOA Tripods feature a sophisticated three-position elevation adjustment on each leg so you can finally stop pretending the ground is flat. Each leg can now be raised or lowered independently to cope with uneven terrain, shooting downhill, shooting uphill, or just the general cosmic unfairness of the outdoors. Prefer the whole rig higher or lower? Knock yourself out—you get a full plus or minus 3″ of vertical drama.

And if you’re parked in a field and one leg has the misfortune of encountering an actual slope while the other two are living their best level lives, the shooter is granted the revolutionary ability to drop that single leg lower than its companions. Groundbreaking stuff, really. Who knew independent leg adjustment could solve the age-old problem of “the dirt isn’t the same height everywhere”?

The seat arm rides on an adjustable locking collar and gives you roughly 25 inches of height travel, so you can set the bench to your actual preferred posture instead of adapting your body to whatever height the bench decided on. It ships with our standard 13 × 2.5-inch round HD furniture-foam seat—dense enough to keep the pins-and-needles and sore-spot routine from turning a good range day into a survival exercise. The seat spins a full 360 degrees, letting you track targets or tweak position without the full stand-up-and-rearrange production.

One of the better calls we made is that both the seat and tabletop rotate independently while you stay seated. Whether you’re zeroing or hunting, you can shift angles on the fly instead of tearing the whole thing apart every time the target moves. Turns out not having to stand up is a pretty solid definition of efficiency.

What’s in the Shipment

What shows up at your door: two boxes. We’ll repeat that, since it apparently catches people off guard — two boxes per DOA order.

One holds the bench top. The other carries the tripod assembly and the rest of the bench-top hardware.

Every so often we also toss in a few extra odds and ends so you don’t have to pay a second shipping fee just to get the rest of your stuff. We could have forced everything into one giant box, but then you’d be stuck wrestling a single oversized brick through the door. Two boxes it is.
